Here’s a cautionary tale (we’ve had a few this season already…) – never ever change your score an hour before kick off when you’ve put together a great panel of scores in the previous 29 matches. Ok?
Rowan M did this and paid the price. Actually, his faux pas was tempered by the fact it didn’t really matter as his four points lost will still have left him a point short of the weekly prize.
Lee F & Ric P are probably feeling just the same (there’s another thing – don’t tell me things anecdotally & expect me not to use it!) as they also came up just shy of the £20 on offer.
So, Andy Fowler 43 (8) can thank his Southampton 8 Everton 2 prediction for his triumph and not give any “f” words if his beloved Toffee Blues are underachieving yet again even when Roberto is hundreds of miles away from “the best ground in the Premier League” and Master Stones is p*ssing about in Mancland rather than Goodison…
Good work Andy lad, you can buy me a half time scouse pie when we come to L4 on the 13th!
“Say No Go”:
Here’s a cautionary tale (we’ve had a few this season already…) – never think just because they’ve got a website and analyse 40 gazillion stats a minute that they really know what they’re doing. Cos they don’t. Well, not this week anyway…
Predictz 9 (0) you’re rubbish!
Mr 2-0 spanked you, my mum mahoogered you and my daughter ***SPOILER ALERT*** got correct score of the week without even looking at her scoresheet any longer than it took to actually write the numbers down!
Oh, Gary B, you dodged a bullet there sunshine…
Correct Score of the Week:
Not many, but the few were quality… – most popular score was the Yorkshire shin kicking fest 1-2 victory for Dirty Leeds over Rovrum – 30 of youse got that!
Seventen got the very annoying last minute spoiling Arsenal 3 Bournemouth 1
11 got the five point 2-2 Wombles draw with Fleetwood
5 got the Jambo’s 3 goal demolition of Motherwell
Dan H, Paul C & Mark S got the thrilling Blackpool 4 Newport County 1
Richard Hu & Will O guessed Villa would beat Cardiff 3-1
Tom S & Andy C nailed Leicester 2 Middlesbrough 2
Andy F made us all green by happening upon Ipswich 3-0 QPR
Ric P was all over the Scottish League Cup Final 0-3 to the Celtic
However, this week’s best correct score goes to Francesca Fernandez for her I-hate-doing-my-scores-it’s-boring inspired, Newcastle 0 Blackburn 1!
Bet of the Week:
So, the “system” spat out 3 draws that were the most popular among the 93 of you who entered predictions and guess what?!
We lost! Again. Rubbish….
51.81% Ipswich v QPR – nope!
51.81% Swansea v Crystal Palace – nearly. very nearly! That’s the draw, not Pards’ departure…
50.60% Wolves v Sheff Wed – nope!
So, £0 goes on “Bet of the Week” slot 65th leaving the total at £8.32…
