“It’s just like watching Brazil…”
“Roses”:
I’m rarely left speechless, but that routing of Madrid was the second time it happened this week.
The first?
The predicting prowess of PASers this week! Well, most of you…
In a horror week (for me anyway) of results, twenty two of you scored 30 points or more!
Of which, two went beyond the 40 point marker with an astonishing amount of correct scores.
Seven correct scores will almost definitely do it for you winning a week, but six punters didn’t even get close with that amount – yeah, blimey!
Rich L notched up 8 and must be kicking himself for not predicting on the Hearts game on Sunday – duh!
That left two to duke it out, and duke it out they did.
Harry H missed the Friday night game and must have thought landing Spurs & Newcastle for a total of 9 (nine!) correct scores would bag him the £20 weekly prize.
But someone else had nine correct scores too!
Ben Hogwood 44 (9) got done over by Spurs, went against his own team at Plymouth for a 2-1 correct score and landed the 5 points served up by Toon on Monday.
But what won it for him?
Well, Harry, it was that 1pt from the Friday night game…
Congrats Ben, your second win of the season!
In a harsh lesson of “Pablo, be careful what you wish for”, I think the site will be an unreadable yellow & green next season folks! <gritted teeth emoji>
The NoWay! Nine

“Umi Says”:
I’m speechless…(but I don’t care!)
Thirteen of us couldn’t score more than 15 points this week.
Three didn’t get a correct score (and, apparently, there were so many on offer!)
Those three all failed to get to ten points too.
Charlie Harris 7 (0) will no doubt be drowning his sorrows in the hostelries of Beeston. If you see him, by him a pint, poor lad…
Correct Score of the Week:
I really don’t care…most popular score was Brizzle City’s 2-1 win over Watford– 30 of us got that!
Twenty five just knew Newcastle would keep a clean sheet for a o-3 at Leicester
21 felt Fergie vibes when this (El) Tel 96th minute penalty secured a 5 pointer 3-1 against Southampton
Fourteen made us all green by happening upon Wrexham 3-0 Burton Albion
7 landed on the two-two in London on Saturday. The wrong side of London…that’s East London if you didn’t know.
Martin S, Chris D & Lily T had their secret prayers answered by the “Saints of Nil” for the stalemate at Loftus Road
However, this week’s best correct score, goes to my lovely daughter Frankie Fernandez for her I-hardly-ever-do-my-scores-and-my-dad-didn’t-even-do-these-ones inspired, Hearts 0 Dundee Utd 1!
Bet of the Week:
Kate Slee was on “Bet of the Week” position 33rd in Week 8 so we asked her to provide a treble selection for the £3 “trixie” bet.
And guess what?!
It was a no-show…
So, £3 goes on “Bet of the Week” slot 33rd taking it to £6.53 – noice!
David Bell is at 83rd this week….
Mr B , I need your 3 team trixie selection by Friday morning, please!
Vamos!
Table News:
“Ms Fat Booty”:
Ben Hogwood stays top, now a mahoosive twenty-one points ahead of Nick H who, in turn, is ten points ahead of Harry H in third…
Three crashed the Top Ten!
“Auditorium”:
Laura Harrison stays bottom, 7 points behind Sam A who, in turn, is four points adrift of Dave N…
“Know That”:
Highest climber this week, up a whopping 23 places is Hira Yonzan – honourable mentions go to Luke S (+22), Anthony R (+17), Debbie L (+17), Rich L (+16), Greg F (+16), and Ciaran N (+15).
“History”:
Falling furthest this week, down a whopping 27 places is Charlie Harris – dishonourable mentions go to Tony M (-17), Dickie H (-17), Stephen P (-16), Neil O (-15), and Matthew E (-16).
