“Refreshing…more Super Bock than XXXX”
Blimey!
Only four PAS punters scored more than 30 points this week…and they all could’ve won the £20 weekly prize!
Another mad week of results saw the Fernandez clan all, somehow, score 24 points each.
Trust me, that’s mad…
Even madder, Emma T chalked up the same amount with only 1 correct score (I hope she had a few accas on the go cos that’s a mad amount of correct results!)
Ben McK smashed home a mad injury time 10 pointer along with a nine pointer and also collecting a correct score courtesy of John McGinn’s 94th minute goal.
Matthew S quietly crept up on the blindside, netted a big correct score but fell short. Bah.
Jamie S was in & nearly there, only to be ultimately scuppered by that late Villa goal – harsh!
So, that left a tale of the ridiculous to the sublime.
Just one week after the ultimate humiliation, Charlie Harris 35 (6) came roaring back!
Mad!
Pompey repaid him in kind for his support whilst studying down there back in the day – a 91st minute equaliser for 5 big points.
But the clincher was knowing that Fat Frank’s outfit would wobble when it really matters, whilst everyone else had them down to win at Hull…
Congrats Chas – you can buy your own pints this week!
The Saving Six
Assists
R Atkinson (90′ + 1 ) – Portsmouth
The madness continues…
Twenty six people failed to notch a correct score.
Actually, that’s not surprising really…
Thirteen didn’t score more than 15 points this week.
Two poor souls didn’t make double figures.
Danny A’s blushed were spared though.
Jazz Sian 8 (0) limped home bottom of the pile & in the gutter.
Pauper-like perfromance from The King…
Mad!
Correct Score of the Week:
Another brutal week at the coalface…most popular score was West Brom’s 2-1 win over Watford– 24 of youse got that!
Fifteen got the very annoying last minute spoiling Southampton 0 Aston Villa 3
9 we’re so happy for Aberdeen 2-2 Rangers they will actually wear that ballet dress…
Five snaffled up the 5 points served up by Pompey & Derby
4 bribed D&D to tinker with the PAS timelapse cog in the back-end, and waltzed off with Newcastle 4 Man Utd 1
Martin S, Chris D & Dom W got the dull-all at Motherwell
El Presidente, Charlie H & Sam W quite rightly predicted Hibernian’s 4-0 thrashing of Dundee
Pete B, Matthew S & Emma T celebrated like Walsall at Highbury in ’83 after that 3-2 for St Mirren over Ross County
Rich L had Bournemouth’s 1-0 win over Fulham
Rowan M nabbed the form book upsetting Sheff Wed 0 Oxford Utd 1
Norman L just knew Brentford would score against Arsenal for a 1-1
However, this week’s best correct score, goes to Ben McKeown for his I-knew-zero-people-would-have-Killy-to-score-and-bingo! inspired, Celtic 5 Kilmarnock 1!
Bet of the Week:
David Bell was on “Bet of the Week” position 83rd in Week 9 so we asked him to provide a treble selection for the £3 “trixie” bet.
And guess what?!
We won!
“All home wins & BTTS…”
Forest – not in
Wolves – well in
Toon – well in
So, £8.72 goes on “Bet of the Week” slot 83rd leaving it on £13.99 – howay, man!
Lee Taylor is at 60th this week….
Mr T, I need your 3 selections for the trixie by Friday morning, please!
Vamos!
Table News:
“Aeroplane”:
Ben Hogwood stays top, now a surely unassailable twenty-nine points ahead of Nick H who, in turn, is eight points ahead of Harry H in third…
Two crashed the Top Ten!
Laura Harrison stays bottom, 9 points behind Sam A who, in turn, is one point adrift of Dave N…
“Suck My Kiss”:
Highest climber this week, up a whopping 26 places is Charlie Harris – honourable mentions go to Jamie S (+20), Ben McK (+24), and Matthew S (+24).
“Give It Away”:
Falling furthest this week, down a whopping(?!) 15 places is Neil Critchlow – dishonourable mentions go to Greg F (-11), Paul H (-10), and Andy C (-10).
