PAS Lucky 13 Spring 14 Week 9 round up

“My Philosophy”: You’ve got to love Gylfi Siggurdson – from revelation at Reading to sub at Sp*rs, he never gives up and is still a bit partial to a shot on sight. The other week he robbed Rowan M (amongst others) of a 2-2 result v Southampton when he rifled in an injury time goal to earn me a lovely 9 pointer. This week he netted in the 90th minute to give the Lilywhites an emphatic scoreline against Sunderland, robbed Rowan M (again!) and earned me a 10 pointer (along with  ‘appy ‘Ammer Matt W). Sweet! Even sweeter, that 10 points took me to the top of the weekly pile for first time in eons to pocket the £20 weekly prize! So thankyou Y-Word neighbours, 36 (5) will do just nicely…#COYS

“The Bridge Is Over”: A bit like Arsenal, this is not the time of season to put some dreadful performances in. It will cost you. Dear. Simon Lindquist 11 (0) is hoping next week (like Arsenal) will bring better days…#COYG

Correct Score of the Week:

I knew something had to give… most popular score was Inverness Caley’s 1-2 win away at Ross Co – 13 of youse got that!

10 got the 3-0 at The Bridge.

6 got the 1-2 in Birmingham (the Aston bit) & six more got the two – one between Bournemouth & QPR.

Matt W & Felix H got the 4-1 for City over The Saints and Matt W (again!) & moi got the Sp*rs 5 Sunderland 1.

Dave C got St Mirren 3-2 Motherwell.

Dom W got WBA’s 0 -1 win against Norwich.

However, this week’s best correct score goes to Felix Hines (again!) for his Toon tragedytastic, Newcastle Utd 0 Man Utd 4.

PAS Lucky 13 Week 8 round up

“The Girl Who Wanted to Be God”:It’s a little known fact that Dominic Wyld 38(5) was once a child-star called Jack whose limelight waned in the early 70s after a run in with a dragon on Living Island. An artful dodge? Well sadly no, as he has to now resort to making up audience stats for a broadsheet that prides itself in telling the truth. £20 heading your way Dom, maybe you can reminisce with “H.R Pufnstuf” on DVD… #fantasy

“From Despair to Where”:It’s a little known fact that seven is actually an unlucky number. Especially 7(0). Just ask Paul Henshaw, Pete Britton & Rowan Marriott#reality

PAS Lucky 13 Spring 14 Week 3 round up

“Sweet Spot”: Like a cornered, um, vicious thing, Paul Campbell 40 (8) snarled his way back from the depths of a humiliating Cup defeat to last week’s winner Julian F and snatched the weekly £20 up for grabs…just a well really cos his still hasn’t paid! #skinofteeth

“Albatross”: And speaking of Cup defeats, our very own Dan Hogwood 12 (0) was obviously wallowing in self pity from last week but, as always, was considerate enough to think about others…he went & joined Ryan Brady 12 (0) at the bottom no doubt to console him on his Cup defeat. Ooops! I think i’ve gone too early there…#spoiler

Correct Score of the Week: it’s getting ridiculous, please tell me how it’s done… most popular score was Fulham’s 1-1 draw with the draw specialists – 21 of you got that!

7 got the 3-0 in Leicester

Neil M/Reda A/Ryan G got Burnley’s 3-1 win over Forest & Reda A (again!)/Richard H/Jay G & got off to a flyer with Dundee Utd’s 3-1 win over The ‘Well.

Nick H & Danny A got Middlesbro’s nil all with Leeds and Simon Linds & Paul V nailed Arsenal 4 Sunderland 1 and Steve M & Alex R got the surprise at the Valley.

Jamie T got St Johnstone 0 Inverness 1 and Frankie F fluked Blackburn’s 0-1 away to Reading and Michelle F guessed Sheff Wed would win 0-2 in Huddersfield….bitter? moi?!

However, this week’s best correct score goes to Will Oppong for his Delia inspired, Norwich City 1 Spurs 0.
