L13 Spring 2010 : Week 13 – Table News…
- Champ!:
- You have to say it’s been a phenomenal performance to stay top for 13 consecutive weeks (a feat even the great Jazz Sian can’t claim!) and never a more worthy winner – Tony Bowley 393 (59). Take a boo son! Tony had a 25 point lead over Josh Hirst in second place, who is our youngest Top Ten finisher ever (just 9 years old!) – let’s hope his homework didn’t suffer as a result but at least he’ll have enough money to pay someone to do it for him next season… The ever present Jazz Sian finishes 4 points behind in third place and 4 points above Jamie Sellers in fourth spot. Neil Templeton will be able to spoil his baby daughter with a pressie by finishing 5th two points ahead of Mark De-Ste-Croix who had a fine season, in 6th. Martin Stafford ended up in seventh place (securing some World Cup betting funds!) 1 point above Andrew Darbyshire (good luck with your interview at the Guardian on Thursday!) in eighth, who in turn finishes 1 point above our resident music reviewer Ben Hogwood in ninth (and he’ll be celebrating Norwich’s return to the big time!). El Presidente finishes in 10th place (hurray, that’ll pay Frankie’s entry fee!) and nets the last of the “big prizes”
- Chump!:
- You have to say he’s been consistent; Howard Thomas takes the wooden spoon this season after a battle royale with my daughter to avoid the humiliation of last place! Let’s hope Palace get that draw to give you a cheery end to the season mate!
- Spot Prizers:
- OK, you have finished on these positions and you HAVE won these prizes! Jason M on 11th, Olly O on 12th, Jamie T on 13th, Matt G on 17th, Michelle F on 23rd, Dan P on 27th, Andy C on 33rd, Julian F on 39th, Gary B on 42nd, Clare T on 50th, Matt W on 54th and Francesca F on 55th.
- PAS World Cup 2010:
- In order to be invited to enter the PAS World Cup 2010 you had to finish in the Top 32 after 13 weeks of play. Sneaking the last spot…Neil Meredith.
- And Another Thing:
- the other little bits…
Tony Bowley picked up an additional £9 for getting the Best Weekly Score of the Season 50(9)
Mark Seels and Shaun Backhouse meet in the PAS Cup Final on May 15 – 22 (don’t worry, you will be kept up-to-date!)
Thanks to the three successful BotWers not least for providing my little girl with £23.50!, Thanks again to all for taking time and bothering to enter – and a final big thankyou to Dave N for providing all the behind the scenes techky stuff to enable another great season (let’s hope the imminent arrival of Kid A doesn’t knacker him out too much for next season…).
We’ll see the Top 32 in June for the PAS World Cup and the rest of you (that don’t want to play the World Cup) in September – remember, spread the word and get all your mates involved for next season!
Cheers,
Pab
