PAS Lucky 13 Winter ’18 Week 2 round up

“Riyad, see that row with Z on it? It went above there…” (pic: Neil Meredith)

Blue Eyes”:

So I’ll get the sob story out the way early doors – I got the most results right this week without a single correct score – waaaaaah! If you were part of our ever entertaining What’s App group, you’ll be all too familiar with my woes…

But before you mock though, only 28 people scored more than 20 points in Week 2 – so there!

Anyway,

Five scored 30 points or more * gritted teeth emoji *

Nick W produced an inspired late late debut performance, Matt W pushed on from his cracking best correct score from last week and Ben H celebrated another fine weekly total – all notching a very creditable 31 points.

After smashing in 9 points from the game where I was waiting on 10 (see below), Richard Hirst 32 (4) sneaked away with the £20 prize all thanks to Alexis Sanchez actually scoring.

In the last minute.

Meh.

“Tricky” must have been happy as a clam what with Forest beating Boro too! Aye Karanka!

Well done young man (said in a ‘Pools accent)

Kennedy”:

Gawd! Can you imagine not getting a correct score and failing to beat a 10 year old girl who puts as much effort into her scores as a millennial does looking up from their phone?

Frankie Fernandez got 10 (0)

So did Sam Arora, Will Oppong, Alex Rossi & Andy Fowler.

Our Famous Five spared the blushes of Nick H, Peter M, Paul V, Bill P and Mr 2-0 (lolz) who all scrambled a correct score-less eleven points!

Think Jose’s “little finger” may have been pointed in your direction…

Correct Score of the Week:

I despair, I really do…most popular score was Killy’s 1-2 win at Dundee – 20 of youse got that!

16 got the 0-3 Chelsea (Morata stealing) win over Southampton (yep, I had 0-2…)

Ten got the thrilling WBA 4 Reading 1 (yep, I had 4-2…)

4 obviously guessed Rangers would beat Hearts 3-1 (yep, I had 2-1…)

Darren McC & Dave C got Birmingham 2 Rotherham 1 (yep,….)

Matt W & Mike K got the very nice 9 points courtesy of Aberdeen 4 St Mirren 1

Gareth M nailed Brighton 1 West Ham 0

However, this week’s best correct score goes to Clare Templeton for her I-see-through-the-Sky-hype inspired, Liverpool 0 Man City 0! Jesus!

Bet of the Week:

We changed it up!

Charlie H was on “Bet of the Week” position 11th in Week 1 so we asked him to provide a treble selection for the £3 bet.

And guess what?!

We lost!

Not the most auspicious of starts again then eh?!

Tranmere to win at Morecambe – tick (after much late drama!)

Burnley to beat Huddersfield – cross (they let Huddersfield SCORE??!)

Livingston to win at Motherwell – crosser… (against 10 men as well!)

So, £0 goes on “Bet of the Week” slot 11th –   : (

Shezan J, you’re up next! I need your 3 team treble by Friday please! No pressure…

Table News:

Silver Shorts”:  Ben Hogwood moves up 1 place to go 9 points ahead of Richard H who in turn is one correct score ahead of Julian F in third.

Loads crashed the Top Ten.

Brassneck”:  Ooops! Sam Arora goes down four places to the bottom of the pile one point behind Alex R who in turn is 1 point off Patricia F…

Flying Saucer”:  Highest climber this week, up a whopping 56 places is Howard Thomas – honourable mentions go to Mike K (+47), Nick W (+39), Pete B (+36), Norman L (+35), Neil B (+34), Nathan T (+33) and Chris B (+31)

Falling”: Falling furthest this week, down a whopping 41 places is Will Oppong – dishonourable mentions go to Andy F (-38), Peter M (-37), Mr 2-0 (-33), Kate S (-32) and Jerry S (-32)

PAS Lucky 13 Winter ’18 Week 1 round up

“Oooh you are awful…”

Gold & A Pager:

I did my scores from a position of excellent preparation, plenty of research and a knowing that it’d be a week that would go as it should be…

Ahem.

So apologies for the lateness of this update – i’ve been in shock. And in Dublin. And in pubs…

Anyway, quite a lot of you clearly knew what I didn’t.

Best of the bunch?

Jack Buxton 43 (7) deftly manoeuvred in front of the other 3 people to score forty points or more this week thanks to a Sturridge wonder goal & a Sakho forearm!

Those late twists nicely bookending the Week 1 theme!

If you got 30 points or more this week, you were one of 17 – I doff my cap, you jammy…

So, congrats Jack, £20 winging it’s way back to you ASAP – always the best week to win innit!

88:

Did you score 20 points + this week?

Wow, I’m in awe…

25 of us couldn’t manage more than 19 points this week.

Shocking.

Not as shocking as Senor Sanchez though eh?! Nacho has scored more goals than him since he left <smiley face>

One Gooner feeling a bit “Alexis” though is Dave Crisp 13 (1).

He crashed to the bottom this week, but he did have the equally hapless Daniel Vinson for company though…

Tut tut Danny boy!

Correct Score of the Week:

It’s gonna be one of those season’s again…most popular score was Bristol City’s 1-1 draw with Villa – 29 of youse got that!

10 got the five-pointer 2-2 between Blackburn & Forest

7 got the 3-1 for Kilmarnock v Motherwell

4 got the very nice 9 points courtesy of PNE 2 WBA 3

Neil B, Rowan M & Shezan J got the 3 goal demolition of Fulham (by Everton)

Darren McC & Richard Hu got the two all draw between Rotherham & Stoke

Olly O & Andy F nailed Swansea 3 QPR 0

Paul V & Norman L both benefitted from Brentford 2 Reading 2

Simon B pulled a plum with Livingston 1-0 Rangers

Andy F (again!) just knew Derby wouldn’t score at Bolton

Howard T got the 4th “Desmond” of the season – Birmingham v Ipswich

However, this week’s best correct score goes to Matt Worsfold for his cor-blimey-guvnor-apples-n-pears inspired, West Ham 3 Man Utd 1! Blindin’!

Bet of the Week:

So, we’ve failed epically in the last few seasons on this – actually, we’ve always failed.

So!

This year we’re changing it up!

Whoever is on the “Bet of the Week” position for the following week will be asked to provide a treble selection so we can place the allocated £3 for the bet.

The winnings will stay on that slot and collected by the lucky person residing there at the end of Week 13.

Got that? No?!

OK.

The person on 11th will make the selections for Week 2, the person on 33rd in Week 2 will make the selections for Week 3,the person on 45th in Week 3 will make the selections for Week 4 and the person on 65th in Week 4 will make the selections for Week 5 and back round again to 11th…yeah?!

Good.

So, Darren McCarthy, Charlie Harris & Scott Harrison are all in joint 11th, but Charlie Harris was 1st out the hat.

Charlie, I need your 3 team treble by Friday please! No pressure then…

PAS Lucky 13 Spring ’18 Final Table round up

Merci”:

An old skool PASer who had been away for some seasons came back into the fold just recently – and how that decision has paid off!

He even had the audacity to claim he was a “newbie” given his hiatus was even longer than…erm, Sunderland in Div 1?!

It was a close, compacted, confusing season – whilst Man City smashed their way to the title with certainty & consistency, our champion coughed & spluttered through just like the rest of us.

Anyone could’ve won it this season.

Little Frankie clocked up more correct scores than the champion and she finished 41st.

She’s 9 and bases all her scores around 1-1 unless “one team is clearly better than the other one…”

Yep, I’ve taken note…

So…

Our “Spring” champ started just outside the Top Ten in 11th (who did win Week 1 again?!!), climbed to 2nd, stayed there for another week, before dropping to fourth in Week 4 – then a “yo-yo” few weeks saw residency in 15th, 10th & 18th as we reached the halfway point.

This low point was met with a push into the Top Ten at 6th in Week 8, before dropping down to 8th a week later.

More yo-yoing?

Nah.

From hitting the summit in Week 9 it was a stubborn stay to the end!

So, be upstanding lords, ladies & gents and doff your caps to Stephen Peaston 348 (42) – He. Is. A. Winner!

Jimmy Nail, Wor Jackie, Nadine Shah, Brendan Foster, Cheryl Tweedy, Rowan Atkinson & Jill Halfpenny, your bairn done canny good! Whack that on a stottie, pet!

SRP won with an impressive 16 point lead over last season’s wooden spoonist, Dan Hogwood, in second place. The “brains of PAS” finished four points ahead of PAS CL finalist Simon Buxton in third place.

Jack Buxton was only 2 points behind his old man in 4th…

Just one point further back, Kyle Beale reflects on a fine season “feel good buzz” by finishing in fifth spot with Scott Harrison & double Cup finalist, Rowan Marriott pushed into joint 6th virtue of only 3 correct scores!

Continuing a rich seam of prize-winning form, PAS Cup finalist Alex Taylor scooped 8th place only 5 points shy of joint 6th and ending up just 4 correct scores ahead of Richard Hirst in 9th.

Tricky claimed the “Top Dog of The Syndicate” title for the season just edging out perennial prize botherer Jason Morris by 5 correct scores in 10th…

“Arsene”: Just 14 points & 49 places separated our new champion from Debbie Lee 243 (23) in Week 1!

Actually, that’s quite a lot thinking about it…

Ms Lee never really recovered from there though, up to 59th, back to 60th & then hitting a peak in Week 4 at 55!

A slip down to 70th followed, a slight rally in Week 7, before the slow descent in the 80s culminated on 89th in Week 11.

And there she would’ve stayed, as my mum was hell bent on getting another ornament for her wall!

But Debbie had other ideas, as she slipped to 90th in Week 12 before securing the wooden spoon in the final week.

So, Patricia F, Neil C & Brett A made gallant efforts over the season to save Debbie’s blushes, but…

Spot Prizers

OK, YOU have finished on these positions AND you HAVE won those prizes!

Arthur Harrison on 11th, Jerry Storer on 12th, Dave Crisp on 17th, Predictz on 24th, Ryan Graves & Pete Britton on 27th, Rich Lee on 31st, Tony Morris on 33rd, Mr 2-0 & Harry Hopper on 39th, Howard Thomas on 42nd, Darren McCarthy on 45th, Jamie Sellers on 49th, Simon Lindquist on 51st, John Jennings on 57th, Rich Walsh on 65th, Neil Osborne on 66th, Neil Templeton on 71st, Gareth Morgan on 78th, Mike Krasnowski & Sam Arora on 83rd, Patricia Fernandez on 90th & Neil Critchlow on 91st.

*** all prize money will be winging its way over this week (less your PAS World Cup ’18 entry fee) – promise! ***

Oh! And…

And Another Thing

It’s the World Cup – start getting excited!!

PAS Lucky 13 Spring ’18 Week 13 round up

“Football. Bloody hell…”

Venus In Furs:

Ooops, just a bit late this week – blame Arsené.

I was waving goodbye to him last night at Leicester and didn’t get back til late – blame the East Midlands.

Anyway, it was quite an unremarkable PAS week considering only 3 people managed more than 30 points!

Jerry S & Martin S went close but they couldn’t halt debut kid Daniel Vinson 35 (7) who did his Dad proud by recouping double on his entry fee.

Yep. That’s right, £20.

If your Dad lets you keep that extra tenner Daniel, do the right thing and enter the PAS World Cup in June, yeah?

Black Angel’s Death Song:

Probably wishing they were late this week, are the 18 bods who couldn’t rustle up more than 15 points this week.

Norman L only got 9.

Peter Morley & Mike Krasnowski 8 (0) went one better to hold hands in the last “shame” of the season…

* blushing face emoji *

Correct Score of the Week:

Ouch…most popular score was Palace’s 1-2 win at relegated Stoke– 23 of us got that!

Twenty two just knew Hearts would score against Celtic for a 1-3

Julian F, Martin S & Jerry S got the notvery annoying last minute pleasing WBA 1 Spurs 0

Predictz & John K nailed Ipswich 2 Middlesbrough 2

Neil C saw his typo come good on the game at Leicester

Daniel V got the dull-all at Pittodrie

Rowan M obviously guessed The Blades would beat Bristol City 2-3

However, this week’s best correct score goes to David Goggin for his last-best-score-of-the-season inspired, Derby 4 Barnsley 1!

Bet of the Week:

So, the “system” spat out 3 draws that were the most popular among the 90 odd of you who entered predictions…

And guess what?! Yep, you guessed. Again.

47.89% Watford v Newcastle – duh!

42.25% Sheff Wed v Norwich – doh!

41.25% Bristol City v Sheff U  – done!

So, £0 remains on “Bet of the Week” slot 11th… it’s over folks, but we will be back with a new idea!

Table News:

One crashed the Top Ten.

PAS Lucky 13 Spring ’18 Week 12 round up

 “Classy…”

The Girl Who Wanted To Be God:

As our PAS season draws to a close it’s proving to be the closest one ever, so much so, that we were considering a Sky Sports style “ticker” to give out live scores during Week 13!

Yeah, that exciting!

And we were all going to wear yellow ties too…

In keeping with that “close” theme, 22 people got 30 points or more this week, with Howard T, Dan H, Lee F and Paul C all laying strong claims to win the week.

Arthur Harrison 38 (6) brushed them all aside though with an impressive 14 points from the last 3 games.

He’ll be thanking Marouane Fellaini for his last gasp winner at OT as it clinched him the £20 weekly prize. Yeah, go Marouane… (hmmmph!)

Congrats Arthur, just as long as the same thing doesn’t happen on Thursday, eh?

From Despair To Where:

Mr 2-0 did well this week.

That usually spells danger.

21 bods scored less than 20 points this week.

Propping up the rest this week is Nick Hogwood 14 (0).

To be fair, that’s hardly a disaster.

Well, maybe in Week 12 it is…

Correct Score of the Week:

Sparse…most popular score was Southampton’s 2-1 win over Bournemouth– 22 of youse got that!

Sixteen (!) got the thrilling West Ham 1 Man City 4

Richard Hi, Sam A & Dan H got the dull-all at The City Ground

Olly O, Rich L & Andy C just knew Birmingham would score against QPR for a 3-1

Danny A got PNE’s 0-1 win over Sheff U

However, this week’s best correct score goes to Andy Smith for his I-rate-that-Darren-fella inspired, Newcastle 0 WBA 1!

Bet of the Week:

So, the “system” spat out 3 draws that were the most popular among the 90 odd of you who entered predictions…

And guess what?! Yep, you guessed. Again.

45% Huddersfield v Everton – X

41.25% Reading v Ipswich – X

41.25% Sheff U v PNE – X

So, £3 remains on “Bet of the Week” slot 63rd – : (

Table News:

The Everlasting:

Stephen Peaston stays top, now 16 points ahead of Dan H who, in turn, is four points ahead of Simon B in third.

No one crashed the Top Ten.

Little Baby Nothing”:

Patricia Fernandez stays rooted to the bottom, now only two points behind Neil C who, in turn, is 3 points off Debbie L…

PAS Lucky 13 Spring ’18 Week 11 round up

 “Nice one Arsene…”

Favourite Shirts: Awwww, as one legend becomes an ex-Arsenal legend, so the nephew of another ex-Arsenal legend stakes his claim to be another legend!

In a week that had 15 punters notching 30 points or more, it was the only one to get over forty who walks away with the prize…

The strategy of 2-1 (he used 8 – we checked. We’re always watching and checking for “blanketeers”) really paid off for John Jennings 41 (8) this week, but ultimately it was the first match 5 pointer that sealed the £20 bonus!

Well done John – the contenders were further away than one of Uncle Pat’s huge punts upfield – at Highbury, not WHL…

Whistle Down The Wind: Another miserable week for some even though it’s proving the tightest field in PAS history – one blinding week could change everything!

Hanging on to that thought are the twelve that only registered 15 points or less.

Hanging mostly on that thought, is Joe Massey 10 (0)…oh woe, Joe.

Correct Score of the Week:

Well done (everyone but me)…most popular score was Leeds!Leeds!Leeds! 2-1 win over Barnsley – 28 of youse got that!

9 got the very annoying 88th minute spoiling Man City 5 Swansea City 0

Eight got the five point Blackburn v Peterboro 3-1

Eddie O, Chris D & Shezan J nailed Exeter 2 Crawley 2

John K, Greg F & Justin C got the dull-all at Deepdale

Darren McC & Bry D got the Wednesday 3 goal demolition of Reading

Paul V believed in Burton. A 1-2 kinda belief…

Martin S got the bore draw between Ross County & Motherwell

Paul C got the stalemate that was Watford v Palace

Gary B obviously guessed Wolves would beat Bolton 0-4

However, this week’s best correct score goes to Eddie Osborne (again!) for his au-revoir-Arsene inspired, Arsenal 4 West Ham 1!

Bet of the Week:

So, the “system” spat out 3 draws that were the most popular among the 90 odd of you who entered predictions…

And guess what?! Yep, you guessed.

44.74% Derby v Middlesbro – how rubbish are Derby?

44.74% Watford v Palace – lucky Wilf didn’t get one of those pens…

40.79% Everton v Newcastle – love you Theo! Grrrrrrr….

So, £0 goes on “Bet of the Week” slot 45th – woo yeah! I mean, no!

Table News:

Fantastic Day:

Stephen Peaston stays top, now 9 points ahead of Jason M who, in turn, is three points ahead of Rowan M in third.

One crashed the Top Ten.

Baked Bean”:

Patricia Fernandez stays stuck to the bottom, now eight points behind Neil C who, in turn, is 1 point off Paul C…

Nobody’s Fool”:

Highest climber this week, up a whopping 27 places, is John Jennings – honourable mentions go to Olly O (+24), Howard T (+22), Rich L (+18), Jazz S (+16) and Gareth M (+16)

Blue Hat For A Blue Day:

Falling furthest this week, down a whopping 25 places, is Simon Lindquist – dishonourable mentions go to Sam C (-19), Nick H (-18),

PAS Lucky 13 Spring ’18 Week 9 round up

 “Scarily good…”

Someone Great: You really have to take your hat off to Eddie Howe and his bowl of Cherries.

They play good football, they put a shift in and they never give up.

Don’t believe me? Check it out here

One punter clearly had his faith repaid this week as Josh King’s 89th minute equaliser v Palace (wicked goal btw Wilf!) gave him that all important 5 points to pip our very own Dan H to the post (bad for Dan but good PR for us though!)

Mike Krasnowski 31 (5) is the latest debutant to double his entry fee this season taking the £20 courtesy of one correct score.

In a week where only 4 people managed 30 points or more, it’s a monster win!

Losing My Edge: A proper barren Week 9 with lots only notching 1 correct score in a “twenty odd points” kinda week.

18 only managed 15 points or less and many with no correct scores.

Only one got a single digit tally.

Bottom of the pile then was Martin Stafford 9 (0) – let’s hope he had money on United at half time…

Correct Score of the Week:

Scant reward this week, but for once, i’m not whining…most popular score was Brentford’s 1-0 win over Ipswich – 14(!) of youse got that!

Ten got Derby’s 3 goal demolition of Bolton

8 got the dull-all at McDiarmid Park

Eight more nailed Bournemouth 2 C Palace 2

Dan H & Paul S made us all green by happening upon Rangers 4-0 Dundee

Rowan M got the correctly over-hyped 1-0 at Wem-ber-lee

Matt W got the thrilling Cambridge United 2 Exeter City 3

However, this week’s best correct score, and new “Best Correct Score of the Season” (sorry Clare T!) goes to El Presidente for my I-changed-a-habit-of-a-lifetime* inspired, Man City 2 Man Utd 3!

Bet of the Week:

So, the “system” spat out 3 draws that were the most popular among the 90 odd of you who entered predictions…

And guess what?! Yep, you guessed.

62.50% Watford v Burnley – damn that dastardly Dyche!

56.25% St Johnstone v Motherwell – never has a dull-all ever been in doubt…(does that make sense?)

38.75% Hull City v QPR – whaaaaaat??!!

So, £0 goes on “Bet of the Week” slot 11th – I think I know what we’ll do next season now though!

Table News:

On Repeat:

Jason Morris stays top, 3 points ahead of Simon B who, in turn, is one point ahead of his son in third.

One crashed the Top Ten.

Get Innocuous”:

Paul Charlton slips one place to the bottom, two points behind Patricia F who, in turn, is 4 points off current champion Danny N (!)…

Oh Baby”:

Highest climber this week, up a whopping 24 places, is Mike Krasnowski – honourable mentions go to Moi (+21), Paul S (+14), Dan H (+10), Stuart F (+10) and Julian F (+10)

Tribulations:

Falling furthest this week, down a whopping 19 places, is Martin Stafford – dishonourable mentions go to Andy C (-12), Neil M (-11), John K (-11), Scott H (-10) and Chris D (-10)

In order to be invited to enter the PAS Copa do Mundo 2018, you will have to finish in the Top 32 after 13 weeks of play. Currently sneaking the last spot is the official “i’m Man U me!”**, Francesca Fernandez!

And Another Thing:

* so, I put City down to win 5-0 after the Liverpool implosion thinking Pep got the gravitas of winning the title versus your bitter rivals.

Upon seeing his line up 10 mins before kick off, I realised the EPO cheat (damn, that keep slipping out!) didn’t.

I changed my prediction accordingly.

I have never EVER changed my scores before.

Think there may be something in this “re-checking” now…

** Frankie requested we watch the derby as she was hoping to “rub her classmates’ faces in it” if Man Yoo won.

She also told me she was secretly cheering Utd when I took her to her first game at OT in the Arsenal end.

She was also torn between local bragging rights and ten points on PAS as her 3-3 prediction looked an increasing certainty…

Got any Grand National tips?

Cheers,

Pab

PAS Lucky 13 Spring ’18 Week 10 round up

“Fancy a job after the World Cup Trace…?”

Monkey Gone To Heaven:

Well, well, well, it was a very quiet week all ‘n’ all. But it was a very eventful week too…

I don’t think we’ve had a more deserving winner to be honest.

Missed the 1st game, saw Forest (95th min), Huddersfield (91st min) and Brentford (94th) min all spike a collective 13 points – cruel!

A ray of sunshine came via Blackpool (94th min) for a point back but ultimately it was the stupidly handsome Olivier Giroud who swooped in to aid Neil Osborne 34 (6) claiming this week’s £20.

That super-sub comeback gave Mr O the point he needed to edge out the group of six who all had real claims on a weekly win. Another 4 notched up 30 points too btw…

All together now, “Na na na na, n-n-n-na…”

Debaser:

A pretty bunched up week all ‘n’ all so the eleven who scored under 15 points had their collective blow softened somewhat.

Hit hard though was Debbie L.

Hit hardest though was Danny Ashworth 6 (0) who chose the wrongest week to go AWOL!

Correct Score of the Week:

Not many this week, but the ones “got”…most popular score was Boro’s 21 win over Bristol City– 29 of youse got that!

Eighteen got Liverpool’s 3-0 deconstruction of Bournemouth

5 got the 1-3 City win over Spurs

Five more smashed in the five point Reading v Sunderland two-all

Olly O & Sam C nailed Barnsley 2 Bolton 2

Rich L & Stuart F got the thrilling Palace 3 Brighton 2

Stuart F (again!) got the dull-all at the DW

Andy S was all over the 4-0 to the Celtic

However, this week’s best correct score goes to Stephen Peaston for his I-love-Giroud-too inspired, Southampton 2 Chelsea 3!

Bet of the Week:

So, the “system” spat out 3 draws that were the most popular among the 90 odd of you who entered predictions…

And guess what?! Yep, you guessed.

I didn’t make it back from Ikea in time to get the bet on!

Bet we would’ve lost anyway…

So, £3 goes on “Bet of the Week” slot 33rd – woo yeah!

Table News:

Gigantic:

Stephen Peaston climbs 7 places to the top, 3 points ahead of Simon B who, in turn, is one point ahead of Jason M in third.

Two crashed the Top Ten.

Um Chagga Lagga”:

Patricia Fernandez slips one place to the bottom, three points behind Paul C who, in turn, is 6 points off Danny N…

“Here Comes Your Man”:

Highest climber this week, up a whopping 24 places, is Neil Osborne – honourable mentions go to Nick H (+23), Rich L (+17), Tony M (+17) and Stuart F (+15)

What Goes Boom:

Falling furthest this week, down a whopping 22 places, is Danny Ashworth – dishonourable mentions go to Mike K (-20), Gareth M (-19),

PAS Luck 13 Spring ’18 Week 8 round up

“Si Pablo! Até a próxima temporada dos Emirados…”

Sheila Take A Bow:

Remember that kid who had that Adidas Tango before everyone else back in the day (and i’m talking ’78 original, orginal here!)?

And he was rubbish at football and everyone was better than him?

But you played along with him anyway and let him have first pick n that, cos, y’know, he had * the ball * and it was kinda his game?

Well, that’s me that is…

One person who’s got his own game*, and is deffo not rubbish at it, is Pete Britton 48 (8) who has now got game on mine as well!

And he’s rubbed salt into my red raw wound by taking the best total of the season off me too! (And you Simon B)

And he supports City.

I hate Pep.

So well done Pierre, £20 coming your way matey, go spend it some EPO like all your players do…

(did I just say that out loud?) <cringe>

Oh, and spare a thought for those 10 others that smashed in a 40 point + week.

At least your not me, eh?!

That Joke Isn’t Funny Anymore:

The Fernandez clan had an absolute Elm Street this week with 3 of us managing to be amongst the seven who couldn’t muster 20 points…

Yep, it was brutal to miss out.

Missing out most though was Debbie Lee 12 (0) – ooooofff!

Correct Score of the Week:

Honestly, I was speechless…most popular score was Tims’ 3-0 win over Ross County – 29 of youse got that!

Twenty five got Arsenal’s, ahem, convincing 3-0 romp over Stoke

23 just knew Everton would score against Man City for a 1-3

14 got the very annoying last minute spoiling Watford 2 Bournemouth 2

Nine got the 3-1 Cardiff win over Burton

4 nailed Motherwell 2 Rangers 2

Matt W & Neil C got the thrilling Lincoln 3 Exeter 2

Neil C (again!) got the 1-3 Spurs win over Chelsea

Neil M got Barnsley’s “Desmond” with Bristol City

However, this week’s best correct score goes to Matt Worsfold (again!) for his don’t-ask-me-about-Cheltenham inspired, Aberdeen 4 St Johnstone 1!

Bet of the Week:

So, the “system” spat out 3 draws that were the most popular among the 90 odd of you who entered predictions…

And guess what?!

I forgot to put the bet on!

I think we would’ve lost again anyway…

So, £3 goes on “Bet of the Week” slot 65th – whoop whoop!

Table News:

Bigmouth Strikes Again:

Jason Morris stays top, 2 points ahead of Simon B who, in turn, is two points ahead of his son in third.

Three crashed the Top Ten.

Stop Me If You Think You’ve Heard This One Before”:

Daniel Vinson is still bottom, now only six points behind Paul C who, in turn, is 2 points off my mum…

There Is a Light That Never Goes Out”:

Highest climber this week, up a whopping 32 places, are Pete Britton & Jazz Sian – honourable mentions go to Arthur H (+29), Ben H (+28), Clare T (+24) and Bijay L (+21)

Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want:

PAS Lucky 13 Spring ’18 Week 7 round up

Dan H – we’re proud of you son!

Feel Good Hit Of The Summer: Did you know Arsene is gonna pull the masterstrokes of all masterstrokes and sign CR7 in the summer?

I keep telling my Gooner pals but they’re not having it. Oh well, you’ll see…

Ronnie was certainly having it when tasked with seeing off the latest contender to his throne when he crushed Egypt with an injury time double.

Mo who???

Viva!

Bet that’s what Shezan Juma 36 (5) was thinking as Cristiano helped him scoop up this week’s £20 from right under the noses of Richard Hi, Jerry S and Steve M.

Only seven bods managed 30 points or more this week, so another feather in your cap Shezan…

Oh, and did you know, if you take away Shezan’s correct score total from his points total it’s what his name is worth in Scrabble!

Just sayin’.

No One Knows: Were you one of the 25 who only scored fifteen points or less?

Shocking week, non?

Dontcha just hate International Week?!

Hating it more than most were Pete B & Neil T.

But not as much as Neil Osborne & Ben Hogwood 8 (0) – scrambled!

Correct Score of the Week:

I.Give.Up…most popular score was Wigan’s 0-2 win at Bury – 26 of youse got that!

Four got Exeter’s 3-1 win over Swindon Town

Sam A, Shezan J & Greg F got the dull-all at Adams Park

Julian F & Dave C got Pompey’s thrashing of Oxford

George T & Chris D got the bore draw between MK Dons and Blackpool

Stuart F got Morecambe 0 Lincoln 0. Then sobbed a little bit as he thought of those poor souls who were actually there.

However, this week’s best correct score goes to Bijay Lama for his I’m-a-newbie-with-beginners-luck inspired, Coventry City 4 Grimsby 0!

Bet of the Week:

So, the “system” spat out 3 draws that were the most popular among the 90 odd of you who entered predictions…

And guess what?!

Yep, new format for this next season…

50% Crawley V Cheltenham – eh?! Where did that come from??!

43.24% MK Dons V Blackpool – spot on with the bore draw people!

39.19% Exeter V Swindon – fail!

So, £0 goes on “Bet of the Week” slot 45th – “……..”

Table News:

My God Is The Sun:

Jason Morris goes up 5 places to the summit, 3 points ahead of Richard Hi who, in turn, is four points ahead of Alex T in third.

Two crashed the Top Ten.

Burn The Witch”:

Daniel Vinson stays rooted to the bottom, now eight points behind Lee F who, in turn, is 2 points off Tony F…

Go With The Flow”:  Highest climber this week, up a whopping 36 places, is Shezan Juma – honourable mentions go to Jerry S (+26), Julian F (+25), Steve M (+23) and Bijay L (+21)
