PAS Lucky 13 Spring ’16 Week 3 round up!

The Noisy Days Are Over”: Remember 1990? That dance? Y’know! The one that Will Smith was really really good at? The one you tried down the Gin Palace in Tooting? In your clobber from Mash and a crystal round yer gregory?

Well this weeks winner is a running man and he sprinted past (see what I did there!) the desperately unlucky new girls Lindsay S & Sophie B to steal their thunder thanks to Dundee’s late equaliser against Inverness!

£20 then to my ol’ mucker Rowan Marriott 33 (4) who will no doubt treat his 8 kids to a Pot Noodle each cos he’s considerate & kind  like that…

Seriously though, Rowan is running a feet blistering 130 miles in August for “charidee (mate)” and you can pledge him up right here – go on do it, the boy is a legend!

Them That Do Nothing”: So. You big up a performance that deserves props even to the detriment of oneself. Yeah, *that* bigged up! And what happens? Debbie L reverts to type and form by smashing in another single digit return. Pah!

However, our friend in the (middle) East, Mark J Brown 8(0) has obv had too much sun as his red face managed to save her blushes. Always a gent Marcus, always a gent…

Correct Score of the Week:

Funny old week – most popular score was Chelsea’s 1-2 at Southampton – 19 of us got that! Yes. Even me!

Gary B / Anders H / David G got the 0-0 at Weston Homes Community Stadium

Lindsay S (welcome!) / Rowan M / Paul V got the horrible 3-2 between Man Yoo & Farcenal.

Tasha M (welcome!) & Francesca F fluked Hamilton’s fine draw v Celtic!

Sophie B (welcome!) & Dan H got Motherwell 3-1 Partick

Lindsay S (again!) & Chris B (welcome back!) nailed Walsall’s away draw in Burton

Julian F & Paul C got the Watford – Bournemouth bore draw

Stuart F came good with Hartlepool 0 Northampton 0

Sam A was spot on with his Sheff Wed zero – zero at Hull

However, this week’s best correct score goes to James Challinor for his Jordan who? inspired, Blackburn 3 MK Dons 2.

Bet of the Week:

So, the “system” spat out 3 draws that were the most popular among the 83 of you who entered predictions and guess what?!

We lost! Big time! Again! All three went west…again!

55% QPR V Birmingham – Jimmy came good, which was bad for us

53.75% Motherwell V Partick  – me, neither…

50% West Brom V Crystal Palace – if Scott Dann had that penalty award…

So, £0 goes on “Bet of the Week” slot 33rd. Ho hum…

Table News:

In Context“: Tony Bowley stays top now 12 points ahead of new boy John K who in turn is three points ahead of fellow new boy Lee F in third.

Lindsay S, Paul V, Dan P & Dave N crash the Top Ten.

Disappointed“: My word! Neil Templeton emulates moi from last week and goes down three places to the bottom of the pile 2 points behind new boy Richard H who in turn is 2 points off Mark J B. Neil, Neil, orange peel…

(I Keep Thinking About) A New Thing“: Highest climber this week, up a whopping 51 places is Rowan Marriott – honourable mentions go to Lindsay S (+22), Paul C (+20), Chris B (+20), Sophie B (+43), Gareth M (+36), James C (+30) and Sam A (+28)

Just Like Everyone Else“: Falling furthest this week, down a whopping 34 places is Alex Rossi – dishonourable mentions go to Debbie L (-27), Jack B (-25), Steve M (-28), Danny A (-25), Savan A (-26) and Jason M (-21)

PAS Lucky 13 Spring ’16 Week 1 round up

Lazurus”: Many moons ago (1994 actually) I was nervously prepping for my best man’s speech trying hard to find that balance between witty & smutty, factual & fabricated and sincere & piss take. Turns out I was fabulous but it was the summing up that really caught everyone’s attention – something along the lines of “may your union last as long as humans have belly buttons, rain in Manchester and bacon in Denmark (don’t ask)…” But the real coup de grace of sentiment came in the last line “or as long as it takes Sp*rs to win the League!” The applause was deafening.

My mate got divorced last September…

Anyway, others feeling the dread weight of Sp*rs re-emergence were our numerous City fans – a bad couple of weeks for the club That Ruined Football (TM)  culminated in a comprehensive defeat at the hands of our friends from The Lane. However, one of them, Pete Britton 36 (6) had reason to afford a smile as he picked up the first weekly £20 of the season not least thanks to a dubious decision wiping out a Jordan Rhodes strike in the (old skool) Yorkshire derby!

Well done Pierre, with me winning two prizes on your wonderful “Dream Team” game already this season, people will begin to talk…

Black Star”: Do you like betting? Do you? Feel like you’re a mug punter awash in a sea of stats & experts? Ever thought that even a little bit of research might improve your chances??

Well Predictz 6 (0) tells you otherwise this week! The “go to” site for all things football predictions (www.predictz.com) got it horribly wrong in Week 1 to the extent of giving Debbie L a run for her wooden spoon! (Actually Debbie got 16 points this week – in context, that’s like you or I getting 100 points. Well, maybe not me. Or Gary B. Or Rowan M. Or Neil T. Or…

Correct Score of the Week:

Quite a few correct scores knocking about in a generally poor scoring week… most popular score was Arsenal’s 2-1 last gasp defeat of Leicester – 17 of youse got that!

12 got the ol’ 1-2 at the Etihad

5 got the dull all between Charlton & Cardiff.

Dave C/Clare T/Chris D got the “Desmond” involving Norwich & Charlton.

Howard T & Pete B got Brighton’s, erm,  shellacking of Bolton?

Dave N & Clare T (again!) got the 0-0 in’t Rothrum

Chris D (again!) got M K Dons’s lovely little 0-1 at Derby

Pete B (again!) got the bore draw Leeds 0 Boro 0

Jason M somehow managed to pull out Hamilton 0 Dundee Utd 0!

However, this week’s best correct score, and therefore best correct of the season so far, goes to Rich Lee for his South Yorkshire inspired, Sheff Wed 4 Brentford 0.

Bet of the Week: We got a new system. We tested it last season. It works. We actually won some money to swell the “BotW” prize slots! And, best of all, you don’t have to do anything at all (well, except put your predictions in on time!)

We’re going again in Week 2!

Expect the bookies to be cowering from our £3 trixie!

PAS Lucky 13 Winter ’15 Final Table round up

Final Table News:

“LV”: It was one minor blip off a perfect season (in fact just about the inverse of my own predictable table fail!) but still an amazing season’s performance none the less!  He started way down in 44th, climbed to 29th, then 13th and then up to tenth in consecutive weeks. Once ensconced, he went up to 5 and then into 3rd, only dropping one week to the hellish depths of fourth!

However, a recovery back up to 3rd was cemented and once he hit the top spot in Week 10 he stayed there! Oh, and he topped Group D to reach the PAS CL knock out stages…

Hats off & congrats to Scott Harrison 355 (51) – you’re a winner!

Scott ended on a 9 point lead over early trailblazer Peter Morley in second place, (who, impressively,  wasn’t out the Top 4 all season!) who in turn finished 11 correct scores ahead of Andy Chesworth in third place. Another former table topper who didn’t leave the Top 4. A fine season sir…

Just four points further behind, Paul Henshaw didn’t leave the Top 10 after Week 2 to finish in fourth spot with old skooler Kate Hopper scooping 5th place just another 4 points shy.

Newcomer Brett Ainger made a debut to remember in 6th just another four points behind.

Eleven points behind, Nick Hogwood finished in seventh (Dan is so proud of you Nick!) 4 points above prolific underachiever Charlie Harris in eighth.

One point behind, finishing ninth, was the long time missing Martin Stafford (further pointing towards a trend that the old-skoolers are back & hungry for winnings – ‘cept me of course..) and another 1 point back Alex Taylor landed in 10th place netting the last of the “big prizes”…

“LGV”: You have to say even our champion couldn’t match the consistency level of Debbie Lee 190 (20) who finished a massive 47 points adrift and takes the wooden spoon much to the relief of my little girl who was on a hat-trick! Cheers Debbie you’ve saved me having to find a “golden” wooden spoon…

Oh, and you now hold the unenviable record for the lowest score ever in PAS (much to the relief of a certain Rowan M!), a record mind, that will never be surpassed. Just putting that out there….

James S & Paul C (along with long time basement compadres Neil T & Norman L) made gallant efforts over the last few weeks to save Ms Lee’s blushes but to no avail – true gentlemen!

Spot Prizers: OK, you have finished on these positions and you HAVE won those prizes!

Dan Pelgrom on 11th, Eddie Osborne on 12th, Mark Fawke on 17th, Simon Buxton on 28th, Jazz Sian on 31st, Pete Britton on 33rd, Rowan Marriott on 34th, Jack Buxton on 44th, James Challinor on 45th, Mark J Brown on 49th, Josh Hirst on 57th, Neil Critchlow on 65th, David Goggin on 66th, Jamie Sellers on 71st & Paul Carter on 79th.

click here to view the full table & to see how much you won!

*** all prize money will be winging its way over this weekend (less your PAS L13 Spring ’16 entry fee) – promise! ***

And Another Thing: The other little bits…

Mark J Brown picked up an additional £15 for getting the Best Weekly Score of the Season –  52(6)

Dan Hogwood picked up £10 for getting the Best Correct Score of the Season – Derby County 4 Wolves 2.

Plaudits

Thanks again to all for taking time and bothering to enter, we couldn’t do it without you!

And a final big thank you to Dave N & Dan H for providing all the behind the scenes techky stuff to enable another great (relatively glitch free!) season…

Happy New Year!

Cheers,
Pab

ps – initial date for PAS Lucky 13 Spring 2016 is weekend of February 12th/13th 2016

PAS Lucky 13 Winter ’15 Week 13 round up

Gosh”: You can tell it’s the holiday season – people put down crazy scores, crazy scores come in. Mr 2-0 is oversubscribed as people “forget” or drift off into an alcoholic abyss with little chance of predicting succour. Form goes out the window (ahem) & “coupon busters” are celebrated by bookies across the country. So how do you combat this perennial problem?

Don’t ask me, I got marginally more than Mr 2-0 this week…

Maybe Clare Templeton 37 (6) can tell us how she came up on the blindside to swipe the last £20 from Rowan M’s hands?

My money’s on the fact she knew the predicable Gooners would concede to the reviled Man City and earn her 4 very valuable points…

B’lieve I’m Goin’ Down…”: It’s Christmas, there are crazy scores expected and there’s shopping to be done. Why bother doing your scores? Debbie Lee 7 (0) is wondering just that…again!

Correct Score of the Week: Man, that was a tough season… most popular score was Forest’s 2-1 win over MK Dons  18 of youse got that!

15(!) got the 2-1 at Ashburton Grove (yay!)

Seven got the ol’ 1-2 in the Potteries and 7 more got the dramarama three-one between Chelsea and Sunderland.

5 of you have got Ross McC to thank for the 5 points at Bolton and five more have no one to thank for the 5 points in South Wales, Swansea to be precise.

4 got the Everton 2 Leicester 3. How?!

Rob C, Steve M & Rowan M got Inverness CT’s 2 – 2 draw with Dundee Utd. Errrrr…???

Mark S & Norman L knew that party pooping Norwich would win at Man Yoo.

Andy F & Shashi A got the dull-all feat. St Johnstone & Hearts.

Neil M & Julian F pulled out a plum with Brizzle Rovers sensational 0-3 win v Dagenham!

However, this week’s best correct score goes to Jazz Sian for his “i’m-back-you-who-thought-I-was-gone-lost-a-hasbeen” Burnley 4 Charlton 0.

Bet of the Week:

So, the new “system” spat out 3 more draws that were the most popular among the 79 of you who entered predictions and guess what?!

After a high you have the crash. Ladies & gentlemen, here is the crash…

60.27% Dundee V Hamilton – ridiculous scoreline!

50.68% Everton V Leicester – we were close!

46.58% Stoke V Crystal Palace – Palace pulled out a plum, i’ll not begrudge ’em that!

So, a massive £0 goes on the now very unattractive “Bet of the Week” slot 65th. ‘Orrible….

Table News:

On The Regular”: Martin Stafford crashes the Top Ten – Clare Templeton is the highest climber (+20) along with Rowan M (+16) just ahead of Shashi A (+15) & then Dan H (+11)……

Divers”: Neil Hyndman falls furthest (-14) just in front of Pete B (-10), then Will O (-9) with Anders H (-9) following suit……

click here and view the full table VERY SOON to see how much you might’ve won!

PAS Cup 2016:

In order to be invited to enter the PAS Cup 2016 you will have to finish in the Top 32 after 13 weeks of play. Currently sneaking the last spot is…yeah right, like i’m gonna tell you that now! Patience is a virtue….

PAS Champions League 2015/16:

The knockout stages are upon us the draw will take place once the MCR-Toon-Essex ley-lines have connected and Dan get his magic balls doing their thang….watch this space (well, actually not *this* space, but you know what I mean…)

And Another Thing: Thankyou for taking part in another fab season – we couldn’t do it without you!

Please come back soon. Very soon! Actually it will late January, early February – but you’ll be getting a constant stream of reminders!

Special thanks to Dan & Dave once again for all their tireless work behind the scenes – they’ve made our online dream reality AND they are currently working on a few things that will really tickle your fancies! You’ve been warned!

PAS Lucky 13 Winter ’15 Week 12 round up

T’ain’t What You Do (It’s the Way That You Do It)”:

To be fair you can usually tell by your Sky Soccer Six score if it’s a mad week for scores or not and I got 4 points this week (what d’ya mean you don’t partake?!) so I knew it was “difficult”…then I checked the scores on the doors and TEN people got 30 or more points – how??!

And then…

Kate Hopper 46 (9)[yep, that’s NINE] picked the perfect week to decimate the opposition with a truly outrageous tally to take the penultimate £20 weekly prize! Well done Katie, you can buy your “adviser” a treat now eh?!

The Lunatics have Taken Over The Asylum”:

Remember that poem, nay paean, penned by Rowan M the other week about being the biggest loser in the history of PAS?

Well, Debbie Lee 3 (0) has gone beyond the pale and clocked up something seemingly impossible to lower the bar even further – truly amazing…no, really!

Even if you tried I reckon you couldn’t get 3 points in a week…wow, what a season this is!

Get the thesaurus out Debs i’m expecting Shakespearean levels of prose from you in the coming weeks….

Correct Score of the Week:

Bothered… – most popular score was Arsenal’s 0-2 win at hapless Villa – 26 of us got that!

13 nabbed a bit of Derby’s superb 2-2 v Brighton

Eleven (really?!) got the very entertaining Leicester 2 Chelsea 1

9 lucked out on the sweet 2-1 win for Bournemouth over Man Yoo…

Eight knew it would be Fulham 2 Brentford 2 (Go West!) and 8 more got Cardiff’s 2s each against Sheff Wed

5 got QPR 0 Burnley 0

Four got the apparently dull, droll West Ham 0 – 0 Stoke City

Neil T, Paul V & Gary B nailed the three-one between Motherwell & Dundee

David G & Julian F got Celtic’s hammering of St Johnstone

Norman L got Hamilton 1 – 3 Ross County

Jamie T got the stalemate at the Valley…

…AND this week’s best correct score goes to the aforementioned Jamie Tofeili for his Toon Toon, Spurs 1 Newcastle 2!

Bet of the Week:

So, the new “system” spat out 3 more draws that were the most popular among the 79 of you who entered predictions and guess what?!

We won! Big time! All three in people – big up ya bad selves……or something.

52.78% Derby V Brighton – very dubious penalty two mins from time sealed the deal!

50% QPR V Burnley

47.22% West Ham V Stoke

So, a massive £47.52 goes on the now very attractive “Bet of the Week” slot 45th. Nice to see ya…

Table News:

The Tunnel Of Love“:

Scott Harrison maintains top spot now 12 points ahead of Andy C who in turn is two points ahead of Peter M in third as the little breakaway really has been reeled in right on cue by the peleton…it will go to the wire!

Charlie H & Ryan G crashed the Top Ten.

Our Lips Are Sealed“:

Debbie Lee stays bottom, with the wooden spoon surely secured, a massive thirty eight points behind James S who in turn is 3 points off Norman L…where’s Neil T gone??!

Well Fancy That“:

Highest climber this week, up a whopping 20 places is Jamie Tofeili – honourable mentions go to Jack B (+13), Danny A (+14), Francesca F (+12) and Dave N (+10)

The More I See (The Less I Believe)“:

Falling furthest this week, down a whopping 12 places is James Challinor – dishonourable mentions go to Josh H (-11), Rob C (-11), Neil H (-10) & Will O (-11)

Click here for further details…

PAS Cup 2016:

In order to be invited to enter the PAS Cup 2016 you will have to finish in the Top 32 after 13 weeks of play. Currently sneaking the last spot is…that crazy horse (sorry O!), Olly Osmond!

PAS Champions League 2015/16:

So, that’s it! And how eventful it proved to be…

Two hammerings, one heartbreaker, one close game, 7 away wins (theme of the season!) and no draws…

We lost the CL legend but the holder prevails, three players scraped through on goal difference and Peter Morley was the only one with a perfect record! If you got through, congrats, you really are ace and we’ll see you in the New Year where bounty awaits..

Matchday 6 results & final tables can be found here

And Another Thing:

Final week of the season – make sure you make the effort to win a festive twenty notes!

That’s it for this week – oh, you on Twitter yet? We’ve fixed it up to look sharp! Well, sharper…

PAS Lucky 13 Winter ’15 Week 11 round up

Suntan”: So the rain put pay to 3 of the 30 games this week and didn’t it reflect on the scores! About 20 odd people “could” have won it, 10 perhaps think they “should” have won it and 3 “would” have won it if it wasn’t for the magical uprights at Old Trafford!

Yep, that goalless 5 pointer secured this week’s £20 for Rob Currin 27 (5) as he stole a march on Steve M to claim one of the lowest winnings scores for many a year…and he missed the Thursday/Friday games too! Well done Roberto, a “score” on the Arse to progress tomorrow now??!

Shaky Half Hour”: Hmmmmm, at least 20 odd people “could” have been the worst this week, 10 perhaps “should” have (in any other given week anyway) been worst and 2 “would” have if it wasn’t for Man Yoo scuppering 22 shots on goal without scoring! Yep, George Triantafillou 6 (0) will be rooing (see what I did there? No? He’s Aussie…jeez!) those missed chances for one goal that would’ve take him to the heady heights of double figures…

Correct Score of the Week:

Yet again i’m nonplussed… – most popular score was Rotherham’s 1-2 reverse at home to Wolves – 23 of youse got that!

7 got Arsenal’s hammering of the Mackems

Neil T(!), James L & Pete B got the very entertaining Ross Co 2 St Johnstone 3

Julian F nailed the nil-nil between Sheff Wed & Derby

However, this week’s best correct score goes to Sam Arora for his tinkerish, Swansea 0 Leicester 3!

Bet of the Week:

So, the new “system” spat out 3 more draws that were the most popular among the 79 of you who entered predictions and guess what?!

We lost….

Ooops.

43.24% Bristol City V Blackburn – new manager, new bloomin’ outlook…

39.19% Sheff Wed V Derby. Tick!

39.19% Ipswich V Middlesbrough – where is Mick when you need him most eh?!!

So, £0 goes on the avoid-at-all-costs “Bet of the Week” slot 33rd. Not nice…

Table News:

Postman“:

Scott Harrison maintains top spot now a seemingly unassailable 20 points ahead of Andy C who in turn is four points ahead of Peter M in third as the little breakaway is kinda being reeled in by the peleton…

Neil M crashed the Top Ten.

Death Or Bongo“:

Debbie Lee stays bottom, now only nine points behind Norman L who in turn is 15 points off the vastly improved Neil T…

Just Like Everybody Else“:

Highest climber this week, up a whopping 21 places is Rob Currin – honourable mentions go to Sam C (+11), Dave C (+10), Arthur H (+15) and Steve M (+10)

Certain People“:

Falling furthest this week, down a whopping 14 places is Jon Tofeili – dishonourable mentions go to El Presidente (-11), Simon B (-10) & a collarbone less Mark S (-10)…

PAS Cup 2016:

In order to be invited to enter the PAS Cup 2016 you will have to finish in the Top 32 after 13 weeks of play. Currently sneaking the last spot is…the lets-hope-his-luck-rubs-off-on-Arsenal, Rob Currin!

PAS Lucky 13 Winter ’15 Week 10 round up

(I Keep Thinking About) A New Thing”:

Usually I have to spend hours (HOURS!) thinking up clever, witty ways to break the news how the week was won, do actual research into who predicted what & source which last minute goal tipped the scales in whose favour…yep, it’s hard work over this side folks!

Well, I managed a week off this week as Scott Harrison 43 (8) absolutely walked it this week leaving his nearest rival a good 9 points in his wake! £20 coming your way Scott – great eh?!!

You’re Not Supposed To”:

Innit ‘oribble when Mr 2-0 beats your weekly score after you’ve toiled & laboured for hours (HOURS!) when a simple default would’ve sufficed (sort’ve). Well he got 13 points this week. (still, if you think that’s bad, check out “And Another Thing” this week!)

That’s one more than me – hmmmppph!

Still, my ol’ German Selhurst Park dwelling mucker Dan Rayner 10 (0) will have the ‘ump even more than me this week! Ha!

Silver linings n all that…

Correct Score of the Week:

I give up… – most popular score was Celtic’s 1-3 win at Inverness – 28 of youse got that!

10 nabbed a bit of Man City’s 3-1 v Southampton

Six got the very entertaining Blackburn 2 Sheff Wed 2

Paul V, Eddie O & Rich L lucked out on the sweet 2-2 draw for Burnley in Cardiff…

Scott H & Tony D knew it would be Motherwell 2 Hearts 2 (err, how?!)

Tony D (again) & Andy F got Rotherham’s hammering of Bristol City

Oh! Will O & Olly O got the apparently dull, droll Aberdeen 3 – 1 Ross Co

Paul V (again) nailed the three-one between Forest & Reading

However, this week’s best correct score goes to newcomer Chris Dixon for his dour Darlo-esque, Spurs 0 Chelsea 0!

Bet of the Week:

So, the new “system” spat out 3 more draws that were the most popular among the 79 of you who entered predictions and guess what?!

We won!

Back in the game people…

(54.29%)Blackburn V Sheff Wed – tick.

(50%)Sunderland V Stoke [35/70] – cross. Ryan Shawcross, go to your room & have a good think about what affect your behaviour had on everyone. You twat.

(47.14%)Leicester V Man Utd [33/70] – tick.

So, £8.05 goes on to the now bolstered “Bet of the Week” slot 11th. Niiiiiiiice…

Wow! Scott Harrison moves up two places to claim top spot 14 points ahead of long time leader Andy C who in turn is five points ahead of Peter M in third as the little breakaway edges further from the peleton…

Alex T crashed the Top Ten.

She Can Do What She Wants“:

Debbie Lee stays bottom and still only ten points behind Norman L who in turn is 5 points off the still despairing, flailing but slightly improving Neil T…

Just Like Everyone Else“:

Highest climber this week, up a whopping 20 places is Jon Tofeili – honourable mentions go to Olly O (+17), Shashi A (+12) and blimey, is that it??!

Them That Do Nothing“:

PAS Cup 2016:

In order to be invited to enter the PAS Cup 2016 you will have to finish in the Top 32 after 13 weeks of play. Currently sneaking the last spot is…ahem, PAS Board member, Dan Hogwood!

PAS Champions League 2015/16:

We continue…

Four hammerings, no heartbreakers, three close games, 8 away wins (are you lot doing this on purpose??!!) and no draws…

We still have two groups that will go to the wire with the real drama being played out in Group H where our current holder & CL legend can still both qualify from the obligatory “Group of Death”…or one could go out!  Mwah-hahaha….

Matchday 5 fixtures & results can be found here

And Another Thing:

That’s it for this week – oh, but remember the “Shame of Week 9”? Well Rowan being the artist & sensitive soul he is just had to get it out of his system – this my friends, is a man who cares about his PAS…

“I write this shameful apology

for being so poor

in all those predictions

i scored only four

i’ve always played football

but know nothing it would seem

as once again, just like that… bang

goes the champions league dream

this week i did try

stats, odds and pundit insight

but there really was no point

my predictions were shite

so this week i walk round

knowing i’m the worst there can be

and i can only apologise

for unpredictable me”

PAS Lucky 13 Winter ’15 Week 9 round up

The Horseman”:

I had a bit of ‘mare at Sheffield Wednesday the other week but at least they had the decency not to score in the 93rd minute to really rub it in.

But rub it in Senor Joao did with his late late goal this weekend.

Neil M thought he had 4 points bagged but it shrunk down to one & put pay to a weekly prize…unlucky Scouse!

So, if you’re gonna have a 93rd goal involved, best get it in your favour eh?

Best get it in the first game of the week even eh?!

Well, Nick Hogwood 37 (7) has Grant Leadbitter to thank, as his late late goal v QPR effectively won him the £20 this week! And much to the chagrin of his little boy to boot…!

The Damned Don’t Cry”:

Imagine one of your best mates got sacked from a Championship side at the behest of some chicken frying clowns – you’d be gutted right?

Imagine if, in the same week, you managed to record the WORST score EVER in PAS history!

Double gutted?

Triple gutted??!

Embarrassed even?

That’s exactly what happened to our favourite Polski PAS son, Rowan Marriott 4 (0) this week – imagine??!

Surely, a punt on the Lottery can do no harm now can it Rowanski…

Correct Score of the Week:

Much better all round this week… – most popular score was Burnley’s 1-1 draw with Brighton – 26 of us got that!

10 nabbed a bit of Ipswich’s 2-2 v Wolves

7 got Sheff Wed’s hammering of Huddersfield Town

Four got the very entertaining Swansea 2 Bournemouth 2

Stephen M & Howard T lucked out on the sweet 3-0 win for Ross Co over Motherwell…

Predictz & David G knew it would be Newcastle 0 Leicester 3 (err, how?!)

Debbie L got the dull, droll Palace 0 – 1 Sunderland

Julian F nailed the one-one between Hearts & Dundee

Ian P pulled a plum with his Leeds 0 Rotherham 1

However, this week’s best correct score  goes to Paul Vinson for his outrageously confident, Spurs 4 West Ham 1!

Bet of the Week:

So, the new “system” spat out 3 more draws that were the most popular among the 79 of you who entered predictions and guess what?!

We lost.

Again….hmmmm this is getting to be a habit again after a healthy start this season.

Burnley v Brighton did the biz, Preston succumbed to new manager syndrome v Blackburn and only a last minute Partick goal against Inverness denied us some return – grrrrr!

So, £0 goes on to the still barren “Bet of the Week” slot 65th. Never nice…

Table News:

Visage“:

Andy Chesworth maintains top spot still 13 points ahead of Peter M who in turn is four correct scores ahead of Scott H in third as a little breakaway forms from the peleton…

No one crashed the Top Ten.

Tar“:

Debbie Lee stays bottom and still only ten points behind Norman L who in turn is 2 points off the still despairing, flailing Neil T…

Look What They’ve Done“:

Highest climber this week, up a whopping 23 places is Neil Meredith – honourable mentions go to moi (+11), James C (+13), Paul V (+22), James L (+16), Neil O (+14) and Howard T (+18)

Fade To Grey“:

Falling furthest this week, down a whopping 24 places is Rowan Marriott – dishonourable mentions go to Tony D (-11), Rob C (-16), Alex R (-17), Jazz S (-19), Anders H (-20) and Dan R (-11)

PAS Lucky 13 Winter ’15 Week 8 round up

Exploitation”: Did you get the benefit of the 97th minute goal in Slovenia?

Danny A didn’t.

Scott H did.

Unfortunately for Scott another injury time goal (albeit 6 minutes earlier) in Denmark put pay to him winning the weekly prize. Said Vestergaard goal meant old stalwart Rich Lee 43 (8) maintained his one point lead over Scott and skipped away with the £20 – “skol, skol, skol skol…!”

Hairless Toys (Gotta Hurt)”: You know it’s dark days & one of your good pals must be wallowing in the doldrums when you receive a text reading “PAS is making me sad”.

Well, Neil Templeton 11 (0) must have looked like one of them emoji thingys this week as he joined the exiled in Oz Paul Carter 11 (0) as duffer of the week. Oh how the mighty have fallen…

Correct Score of the Week:

Unsurprisingly thin on the ground this week – most popular score was Bosnia’s 1-1 draw with Eire – 29 of youse got that!

7 nabbed a bit of Coventry’s 1-3 v Colchester

5 got Gillingham’s hammering of Bury

Four got the very entertaining Denmark 2 Sweden 2 and 4 more got the equally entertaining Desmond at Accrington

Francesca F, Gareth M & Tony D lucked out on the sweet 2-2 draw for Crawley in Exeter…

Simon Linds & Alex R knew it would be Sheff Utd 2 Southend 2 too!

Ian P got the dull-all, Pompey 0 – 0 AFC Wimbledon

However, this week’s best correct score  goes to Will Oppong for his, ahem, intuitive, Hartlepool 3 Leyton Orient 1!

Bet of the Week:

So, the new “system” spat out 3 draws that were the most popular among the 79 of you who entered predictions and guess what?!

We lost.

Again….

Boooo!

All 3 selections came a cropper – Blackpool v Doncaster, Bristol Rovers v Carlisle & Hungary v Norway…  : (

So, £0 goes on to the healthy & wealthy “Bet of the Week” slot 45th. Nice. But could’ve been nicer…

Table News:

Unputdownable“:

Andy Chesworth maintains top spot 13 points ahead of Peter M who in turn is two points ahead of Scott H in third.

Newcomer Brett A crashes the Top Ten.

Evil Eyes“:

Debbie Lee stays bottom but now only ten points behind Norman L who in turn is 1 point off the despairing Neil T…

Gone Fishing“:

Highest climber this week, up a whopping 32 places is Rich Lee – honourable mentions go to Simon B (+14), Dan P (+12), Gary B (+14) and Andy F (+17)

Uninvited Guest“:

Falling furthest this week, down a whopping 23 places is Jon Tofeili – dishonourable mentions go to Neil M (-13), Jamie T (-12), Olly O (-11), Predictz (-12) and Danny A (-11)

PAS Lucky 13 Winter ’15 Week 7 round up

Darts Of Pleasure”: As if to stick two fingers up at last week’s sleight on his weekly win, Andy Chesworth 40 (6) put down a marker that said “catch me if you can punks!”  & duly secured another £20 prize with this season’s first double.

And as if demonstrate his steely reserve and unfaltering determination undeterred by emotion, he cruelly denied Debbie L a weekly win that would’ve warmed even the coldest of hearts…anyway – can you get a hat-trick young man?!

The Fallen”: According to Preston’s finest, you get a brimful of Asha on the 45. Hmmmmmmmm, Julian Fernandez 8 (0) fell 37 short!

Welcome to the “Fernandez Hall of Shame ’15” JuJu…

Correct Score of the Week:

Surprisingly thin on the ground this week – most popular score was Leicester’s 2-1 defeat of Watford – 35 of youse got that!

7 nabbed a bit of Bolton’s 0-0 v Bristol City

6 got the dull-all draw, QPR 0 – 0 PNE

5 got Celtic’s hammering of Ross Co.

Four got the very entertaining Stoke 1 Chelsea 0

Martin S & Gary B lucked out on the sweet 1-2 win for Palace at Liverpool…

Jon T knew it would be Wolves 0 Burnley 0.

However, this week’s best correct score  goes to Debbie Lee for her very commendable, Nottm Forest 1 Derby Co 0!

Bet of the Week:

So, the new “system” spat out 3 draws that were the most popular among the 79 of you who entered predictions and guess what?!

We lost….boooo!

West Ham v Everton did the honours but Reading lost 2-0 at Cardiff & somehow, The Toon held on to beat plucky B’mouth  : (

So, £0 goes on to the barren “Bet of the Week” slot 33rd. Not nice.

Table News:

Turn It On“:

Andy Chesworth climbs one place to top spot 11 points ahead of Peter M who in turn is six points ahead of Mark F in third.
