L13 Spring 2013: Week 10 Roundup

Hola!

Apologies for the delay – I’ve been busy doing nuffink…

“Autograph”:
If having sun on your face, wearing shorts & eating al fresco is a good recipe to win a weekly PAS prize then expect a Fernandez, Ashworth & Briggs triumvirate next week. This week though, Oz dwelling Paul Carter 37 (6) takes the weather (and the £20) with him, racking up his third payout this season – bonzer!
“You’re Not Very Well”:
The trend continues to have an appalling week alongside someone equally appalling this season – this week’s fall guys are Greg Snowdon & Gary Mitchell 9(0)
Correct Score of the Week:
Bravo! Muy bien!… most popular score was The Arsenal’s 1-2 win in the Black Country – 20 of you got that!
4 got Swansea’s 2-2 draw at Carrow Road, 6 got Burnley’s 3-1 at Turf Moor & 5 got the 2-2 between The Terriers & The Posh.
Five got Bournemouth’s 3-1 win over Notts County, fifteen got Celtic 3 Hibs 0 and four got Everton’s 2-2 with Dirty Sp*rs (mind the gap?!).
Jazz S nailed the zero-zero in Inverness & Tom A got Southampton’s 0-2 at Reading.
However, this week’s best correct score goes to Paul Vinson for his 9 point inspired, Sheff Wed 3 Blackburn 2.
Bet of the Week:
Frankie selected No.23 & Jon Tofeili managed to fail on all fronts… papa!
Next up is No.79. Hello Alex Rossi!

Table News:

“How High”:
No change at the top as Paul Campbell now has a 7 point lead over Paul Car as the “Paul C” mafia start to disappear leaving Neil O a further 7 points behind in third. Kate H crashes the Top Ten at six.
“Can’t Even Be Bothered”:
Harry Birkner as always, stays bottom now twenty points behind Savan A who in turn is a further six points off Stuart F…

However, this week’s best correct score, goes to Mahli Gupta for his 9 point inspired, Charlton 3 Bolton 2.

Next up is No.23. Hello Jon Tofeili!

L13 Spring 2013: Week 8 Roundup

“Instinction”:
Being a head honcho is sometimes kudos enough, but being a head honcho & bringing home the bacon really justifies your lofty position. So, “Syndicate”, Mark Seels 45 (8) will be laying claim to that title this week after winning £20 for your cause – all courtesy of his faith in England not being head honchos in Group H…
“The Freeze”:
…however, it could be worse. Playing at “being Scotland” this week are Rowan Marriott & Norman Lee 12(0).
Correct Score of the Week:
Damn those late late goals… most popular score was Croatia’s 1-2 win in Cardiff – 30 of you got that!
24 got Holland’s 3-0 win in Estonia, 17 got the 0-3 in Borat-land & 11 got the 2-2 between the Magyars & the Vampires
5 got France’s 3-1 with Georgia, five more got Swindon 0 Notts County 0 and another nap hand landed Luxembourg 0 Azerbaijan 0.
Neil O & Rob C got Bosnia’s 3-1 win over Hellas and Jason M/Sam A/Stuart L got Sweden 0 -0 Eire.
Dumas H got Poland 1 Ukraine 3 & John S got Eire 2 Austria 2.
However, this week’s best correct score, and new best correct of the season, goes to Ryan Brady for his three lions inspired & now PAS folklore, San Marino 0 England 8 (EIGHT).
Bet of the Week:
Frankie selected No.55. John Street didn’t send us anything so that’s another £3 on BotW slot 67th then… next up is No.8. Hello Tony Bowley!

L13 Spring 2013: Week 8 Update…

Hola!

First off, we had loads of 0-7s and one 0-9 – ooooooooh one out! However, we did have a 0-8…

Two young ladies on 30 points are leading the way and one poor lad is marooned on 8 points (after seeing his 0-7 scuppered!)

Full Week 8 round up after the final 7 games are played (weather permitting!)

Week 9 starts early(ish) again this week with some Good Friday fixtures kicking off at 3pm (sacrilege!)

It’s also the Champions League QF 2nd leg, so could all the other 3 quarter finalists remember to play a “Joker”!

Cheers,
Pab

L13 Spring 2013: Week 7 Roundup

“Just Like Honey”:
I think you’d agree it was a top weekend for Man Utd & Arsenal. It was a double good weekend then for Paul Henshaw & Felix Hines 27(5) who both managed to win the weekly £20 prize between them with possibly the lowest winning score ever! A tenner it is each chaps, maybe you can buy your Citeh & Sp*rs friends a pint…
“Darklands”:
Obviously a week of doubles, good & bad. Very bad for Michelle Fernandez & Nick Hogwood 8(0) who bring shame upon their family name, that frankly, just shouldn’t be tolerated, eh Dan? ;-)
Correct Score of the Week:
Imagine tumbleweed rolling past your vista… most popular score was Wigan’s last gasp 2-1 win at the DW – 17 of you got that!
9 got the 0-0 at the Britannia.
James C & Andy C got Villa’s 3-2 with QPR.
Howard T got Huddersfield’s 1-2 win over Dirty Leeds and Francesca F got Barnsley 1-0 Watford. Steve M got Ipswich 1 Bolton 0. Rich L got Middlesbrough 0 Birmingham City 1.
However, this week’s best correct score goes to Louise B for her Tesco bag inspired, Brighton 3 Palace 0.
Bet of the Week:
Frankie selected No.26 & Mark Seels quite rightly predicted his own ineptitude…next up is No.55. Hello John Street!

Table News:

“Reverence”:
Stephen Peaston stays top 1 point ahead of Stephen S as the Geordie Stephen mafia’s stranglehold on the Top 2 is loosened off. Paul Cam & James C are a further 3 points behind in third. Sam A crashes the Top Ten at nine.
“Far Gone & Out”:
Harry Birkner stays firmly rooted to the bottom now a mere ten points behind Nick H who in turn is a further point adrift of Savan A (oh, brother where art you…)
“Sometimes Always”:
Highest climber this week, up a whopping 24 places are Felix Hines & Paul Henshaw – honourable mentions go to Julian F (+15), Rich L (+15) & Francesca F (+15).
“Half Way To Crazy”:
Falling furthest this week, down a whopping 20 places is Michelle Fernandez – dishonourable mentions go to Gareth M (-17), Dan P (-19) and Scott H (-19).

Bet of the Week:
Frankie selected No.12 & Dan Pelgrom was left rueing Stephen Gerrard’s penalty denying his draw treble… …next up is No.26. Hello Mark Seels!
