PAS Cup 2014 – 1st round scoresheet now available!

Hola!

PAS Cup starts at 19.45 this Friday, so if you’re involved (that means if your name appears in the draw below!) start your engines!

All “home” teams can play a “joker” – just tick the box on the game of your choice to earn those valuable “double” points.

It all looks slightly different this season & it will continue to do so as the backroom boys tweak & refine until we have the perfect playing surface…if you spot any mistakes or discrepancies, please shout up no matter how small or insignificant they may seem! Every little helps…

You’ll see some ” * ” next to some fixtures – hover over these and it will tell you what kind of fixture this particular game is.

You’ll see a few buttons at the top – “print”, “download” & “email” – these will do exactly as they say with your scoresheet – print it out, download it to your PC or send it to your email address. Perfect for those of you who like to have your scores to hand at the weekend, take to the pub or scribble on! For those cutting edge types that do scores on the phone, the email function may be the one for you – who knows, you choose!

L13 Spring 2013: Week 13 Final Table & Season Roundup

Thanks again for taking part – I would say it’s been a pleasure but posting my lowest finish EVER put a dampener on that :-(

“Towering”:: You have to say if you can climb from being around the 40th-50th mark early doors and then remain in the Top 5 for over half the season AND reach the PAS Cup Final you really are consistent!; Hats off to & congrats then to Paul Campbell 339 (50) – you’re a winner!; And you could yet be a double winner (unlike RVP, ahem….); Paul had a 5 point lead over Neil Osborne in second place, who just couldn’t quite manage the same levels and in turn finished 2 points ahead of Danny Ashworth in third place just running out of steam when it mattered! (Oh Danny boy…); Just one point behind, Paul Carter, with his impressive array of weekly prizes & Cup booty, ended up in fourth spot & old skooler Ryan Graves returned to the fold to scoop 5th place (like riding a bike eh Ryan?!).; Top girl goes to Kate Hopper who had a fine season (albeit with some coaching from the sidelines!) in 6th with Dan Pelgrom in seventh (notching another Top Ten finish) place 1 point above Tony Morris (syndicate bragging rights?!) in eighth.; Finishing ninth was Tony Bowley (who joins our champion trying to deny Gareth M a Cup via the CL Final!) just above James Challinor in 10th place (currently being cursed by Will O a mere 3 correct score behind in the hinterland that is 11th!) netting the last of the “big prizes”
“Inferno”:: You have to say even our champion couldn’t match the consistency level of Harry Birkner 207 (15) who takes the wooden spoon this season with gusto!; Rob C made a gallant effort over the last few weeks to rival our basement boy though, even making me look good in the process! Shocker!

Sneaking the last spot… Jamie Tofeili!; If you’ve finished in the Top 32 you HAVE qualified for the PAS Champions League – if you so wish!; You can say “no thanks” if you want but why would you do that eh?!; It will cost you £25 (“Winter 13” & CL Group stages) but remember you are guaranteed entry to PAS Lucky 13 Spring 14 (if you qualify for the CL knockout stages or not!) and at the reduced rate £20 – bargain!; Plus, seeing as you’re *that good* at PAS, you’ll probably be in the PAS Cup anyway fighting on three fronts for glory & cash and who knows, maybe a historic treble!

RVP:: Possibly the best week to get a hi-score? Our scouse friend out in the desert will agree & no doubt be sneaking off to an illegal drinking den to celebrate. L13 Spring 2013: Week 8 Update…

Hola!

First off, we had loads of 0-7s and one 0-9 – ooooooooh one out! However, we did have a 0-8…

Two young ladies on 30 points are leading the way and one poor lad is marooned on 8 points (after seeing his 0-7 scuppered!)

Full Week 8 round up after the final 7 games are played (weather permitting!)

Week 9 starts early(ish) again this week with some Good Friday fixtures kicking off at 3pm (sacrilege!)

It’s also the Champions League QF 2nd leg, so could all the other 3 quarter finalists remember to play a “Joker”!

Correct Score of the Week:: Quite a few correct scores (especially a “Desmond”) knocking about… most popular score was Reading’s 2-1 win over Sunderland – 22 of you got that!; 15 got the 0-3 at Stark’s Park and 10 got the 2-2 between Man City & Liverpool. Ten more got Wigan 2 Southampton 2…; 6 got another 2-2(!), the one at London Road & six more got another two-two (!!), the one between Fleetwood & Bradford.; Dumas H (welcome!)/Mahli G/Felix H got Hartley & Poole’s 2 -1 win over Notts County & Ciaran Mc G (welcome back!)/Dave C/Stuart F got Ross County 2 Hearts 2. Daniel H & Steve T got Derby’s 3-0 win over The Terriers and Kate H & Matt G (welcome back!) got the only stalemate on offer at Loftus Road.; Paul C got Dundee Utd’s thumping of Rangers.; However, this week’s best correct score and therefore best correct of the season so far, goes to Stephen Peaston for his partisan inspired, Newcastle Utd 3 Chelsea 2.
Bet of the Week:: We had varying degrees of success with this last season where the weekly winners used the populist “Goal Rush” method (pick 3, 4 & 5 matches where both teams will hit the net) or the traditional 5 homes, 4 aways & 3 draws.; We’ll stick to them but this time round Frankie will pick a random number before the table is compiled and the person on that number will get the responsibility.; Remember you’re trying to win some money for yourself and put some money into an allotted spot prize position for a nice surprise at the end of the season.; We’ve set aside £3 a week from the entry fees to pay for this so let’s make sure we win it all back and then some!; Frankie selected No.71 this week, so Steve Meaton, you’re up first fella!

PAS Champions League 2013/14:

In order to be invited to enter the PAS Champions League 2012/13 you will have to finish in the Top 32 after 13 weeks of play. Currently sneaking the last spot is… nothing like Gazza, Jamie Tofeili.

Lots of payments have come in – thanks! Anyone who hasn’t got round to it, please do as soon as possible – don’t make me chase you!

L13 Spring 2013: Season Start

Hola!

We start this Saturday – scoresheets back 12.44 please…

Also, need your entry fee pretty sharpish!

You should all know how much you have to pay, but if don’t, email me & I’ll enlighten you (and berate you!)

Looks like we’re up to about 84ish taking part which is fab (if you’re gonna drop out, tell me NOW please!) and there’s still time to rope in some newbies to the fold…

PS: “Bet of the Week” will continue but we’ll have a different way of picking who get choose the bet selections this season. Week 2’s bet will be taken care of by the person who is 43rd in the table after Week 1 has concluded…

L13 Spring 2013 Preview

Hola!

We kick off the Spring league on w/e Feb 1/2/3 2013 – so I’ll need your entry fee monies please!

Attached are the PAS Rules for your perusal and the “£20 Entry Fee” list – if your name appears on said list you pay £20 for the season and if it’s NOT, you pay £25!

Thanks to all those who have paid up already – I *heart* you and your organised ways!

If you DO NOT want to play this season, let me know ASAP but remember you’ll missing out on the chance to win money & qualify for PAS Champions League Group Stages 2013.

And that’s an opportunity not be missed I can tell ya…
