Up to the oche is Week 3 winner Jamie Sellers – he has even playing field to gain glory or lose us a fiver…
Ok. Reading to hold Chelsea 1-1
Best odds available are around 15/2
As Arsene would say, bon chance!
Result: Lose! Down a fiver again…

Bet of the Week suddenly looks very realistic don’t it?!
Wayne C has suggested £5 on Croatia tomorrow and you can get odds of around 2/1 on most sites/bookies.
Result: WIN! We’re now evens.
Monies still outstanding! Some I know are “pending” but the Hall of Shame continues… Mrs F, Mark G, Lisa G, Matt W, Dan R, Greg C, Karl C, John G, Julian F, Steve T, Gary B and Ben H – coooooooommmmmme onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!
Someone has paid in from “Bournemouth” – let me know who you are please!
Back to Week 2 proceedings….
Cheers,
Pab
Next up to try and win some money for us is Week 1 winner Mark J Brown. We’re £5 down after Simon L’s treble failed to come in, so it’s down to a bluenose scouser to change our fortunes.
I’m just worried that being an Evertonian, he’s just not used to winning things… can I bring myself to back Sp*rs? can you??!
Bet of the week:-
£5 double to win £14.25 (£19.25 in total)
Spurs to beat Portsmouth @ 5/6
Coventry v Plymouth (over 2.5 goals) @ 11/10
Odds from Sporting Bet
Result: Lost!
A few things to note:
All prizes are valid at the end of Week 13.
New prize – we’ve added the “Close, But You Actually Get A Cigar” slot on 11th. Fresh back from Cuba, it’s a splendid big bad boy from the range Fidel used to personally hand out to visiting dignitaries. Mark McD will vouch it takes about a day to smoke…
To be invited to PAS Spring 2007 / PAS Cup 2007 you need to finish in at least 32nd postion.
Funds for the Cup competition currently stand at £117.50 – nice!
Week 2 scoresheet to follow…
Cheers,
Pab
All info will be up on the NEW (this!) webpage – but I’m not telling you where it is yet cos it’s not quite finished….Week 2 scoresheet and Week 1 table will mailed round later…
Cheers,
Pab
PAS punters,
First up for the season with the “this week I am mostly betting £5 on…” selection is our World Champion, Simon Lindquist.
If you followed all the selections last campaign, you would have been considerably in profit – so, dare you dabble?
Bet of the week:-
I’m definitely not a betting man (with the exception of P-A-S), so the fictional fiver will probably be in the red after week one. With that in mind I’ll go for an away treble of wins for Chelski, Man Ure and (picked from the Conference) Oxford Utd. Safety first!!
Personally, I’m not sure if he’s playing it safe or having a laugh – I’ll lump on anyways…
Result: Lost! :-(
Thanks to everyone who has taken part, parted with money and bothered to submit scores week in, week out, thanks to Dave Nicklin for the technical support and brains and thanks to all those weekly winners who got involved provided a weekly punt (and thanx more to those who gave us winners!).
Didn’t qualify? I’ll be in touch after the summer…
Cool kids, I’ll mail you soon!
All monies will be transferred/handed over asap.
Merry Christmas!
Cheers,
Pab.

Going into the last week, the betting syndicate pot is down to £3.75 and Will O hasn’t come back with any selections, so up steps our mystery masked “pro-punter” to put us back in profit (or not).
£2.50 treble – Newcastle/Preston/Cardiff – Returns £16.50
£2.50 HT/FT – Everton v Chelsea – Draw HT/Chelsea FT – Returns £10
Result: Lose! Down to -£1.25.
Cheers,
Pab.
Now then. We currently stand at £3.75 to the good – I’ve prepared a bookie bashing Chrimbo hamper – gorge yerselves…
£3 win accumulator Man U, Spurs, Liverpool, Plymouth, Celtic and Gretna (potential return of £29)
£1 draw treble Chelsea, Birmingham and Walsall (potential return of £40)
50p draw accumulator Chelsea, Birmingham, Walsall and Rotherham (potential return of £68)
50p win accumulator Watford, Southampton, Nottm Forest and Villa (potential return of £18)
Result: Lose! Down to £3.75.
Cheers,
Pab.
As pointed out by the missus and the visiting Mark F (ad infinitum) and the vigilant Simon L – the Leeds Barnsley game was listed incorrectly as Barnsley are away and not at Oakwell.
Hands up, our mistake.
This result is now null and void – watch it finish 2-2 now just to rub it in…
Apologies,
P-A-S Quality Control Team
Our profits are falling fast as we enter the last three weeks – my lovely wifey has put a lot of thought into spending this weeks £5…
Leeds, Reading and Burnely to win.
If that ridiculous threesome comes in we’ll get back about £135 as it’s about 26/1 depending where you bet.
Result: Lose! Down to £8.75.
Cheers,
Pab.
Next up to increase the profit and buck the trend of late is Greg “Best Disco In Town” Edwards – he’s a Liverpool supporting Gogg who would probably prefer to see us all lose a fiver than tip us a winner…
A home win triple: Aston Villa, Preston NE and Wrexham
I think he means a “treble” – £5 on that will pocket you around £44 – good luck!
Result: Lose! Down to £13.75.
I’ll get straight to it as it’s late – apologies to those who did well and for those who did bad, you’re off the hook this week… (that’ll be me then!)
Cheers,
Pab
Ciaran McG has run screaming to the Wicklow mountains at the thought of submitting a “suggested flutter” so I’ll take up the task this week (I’m nice like that!)
£2 win accumulator on Arsenal / Chelsea / Bristol City / Accrington Stanley (should return about £12)
£2 away win double on Liverpool / Plymouth (should return about £12)
£1 correct score on Chelsea 5 West Ham 1 (should return £41 if you back it on Sporting Odds – Ladbrokes we’re offering 20’s!) – I had a dream/nightmare last night where I was in a pub (natch) and had money on Chelsea 5-0 when someone watching Geoff Stelling cheerily piped up that West Ham had scored a last minute goal…..
Result: Lost! Down to £18.75.
Cheers,
Pab
If you have followed every tip posted for the last 7 weeks you’ll be £28.75 up – looking to improve on that is Week 7 winner Mark “Fade to” Grey, who, I believe, is “Citeh til he dies…”
Double – City to beat Newcastle & West Ham to beat Middlesbrough
£5 on Blue Square will net you £30.19 as things stand.
If I told you Mark won £9million on this years World Cup, would you trust his judgement?
Result: Lose! Down to £23.75.
Cheers,
Pab
We’re back on an even keel – next up to try and put us in profit is Week 6 winner Olly “Gunnar” Osmond…
As far as the Bet of the Week is concerned, how about a win double for Charlton and Watford. Both have obviously struggled, but looking at their opposition (City and Boro) I feel it might just be the right time to register a win each.
At odds of around 4.75/1 you’ll have £28.75 in your pocket, if it comes in – happy punting!
Result: Win! We’re now £28.75 to the good.
Cheers,
Pab

Pab
PS- you may remember Mr 2-0 won a spot prize last season and as he’s a benchmark as opposed to a real person we can’t give him the money. On Friday we donated his £20 to a worthwhile local cancer charity so it’s gone to a good home and very much appreciated.
Currently £5 down – get yer money on the following kids!
Preston / Celtic / Gretna / Morton / East Fife / Queens Park – £3 win accumulator (potential return £24.64)
Blackburn / Nottm For / Accrington – £1 draw treble (potential return £32.24)
Blackburn / Nottm For / Accrington / WBA – £1 draw accumulator (potential return £104.78)
Fingers crossed! And if we win, we’ll buy Ruby Grace a bib or summat…
Result: Lost! Now down a tenner!
Sorry. I’m glad I listened to Mark J Brown’s wild generalisation that “Plymouth win ALL their home games 3-1”. Not only eight points in the bag but I lumped on @ 20/1 too! A right touch!
Cheers,
Pab
As Steve T is ALWAYS late for everything (baby or no baby) I’ve gone for professional help to get our betting profits up to scratch. So our mystery pro punter has gone for this little selection…
Double your money special!!!
£5 on Sunderland to beat the dreadful Hull City and combine this with an easy Chelsea formality.
£5 = £10
Sunderland are 6/4 to win at Hull
Chelsea are 1/3 to win at Sheffield Utd
Ok it’s not the most lucrative wager but it’s easy money.
Result: Win! Clean slate due to Mackem & Chelsea double.
